BOYS...

Are the most perplexing creatures...
They MUST ALWAYS challenge the status quo...
And I'm finally learning as a mother of boys that boys learn best...
The HARD WAY.Those real life experiences seem to stick better than mothers' warnings anyway...Who knows? Someday there may be a very legitimate need for "death jackets" and my son's invention will be in high demand.

Too funny! It just hit me yesterday at the BBQ (as I watched Titus scrape smashed chocolate cake off the ground and lick the crumbs from his fingers!) how many of these kinds of moments I will be experiencing in the future, being the mother of two boys (so far!) and watching them... just be boys!

Well, even having four brothers, I have not yet figured out these amazing "creatures" called BOYS. hehe. But you gotta love em'! My brothers used to swing, off a rope, from the roof of a two story house, and then drop into the lake it was next to. (I'll be sure not to share that story with Bub and Si...just so they don't get any ideas). I think all of them have done cliff jumping. Thankfully, they survived childhood and are now adults:)

Bottoms up! As a mom of 5 boys (and one girl)I laughed at this post. I have been "lurking" for awhile, but decided I had to at least say hi since you couldn't hear my chuckle.

Aren't boys such a window on another world? Blessings, Tiffany

Pictures say so much.:) I have a girl, so boys are like alien creatures to me - not sure what I'd do with one but am willing to find out! I see we are both Snapdragons and like bluegrass! You'll have to let me know how you like Creative Counterpart. It sounds wonderful. Lies Women Believe is excellent; Teaching the Trivium is a great resouce. Shepherding a Child's Heart is one of my favorites. I could go on and on. Hope to hear from you soon. :)

Liz, I am an absolute, bona fide Lucy junkie. Where did you get those cute graphics?
